Ever since leaving his hometown to train in New Orleans,  Dr. Villarreal has wished to return to Katy.  Not only to take care for his own but also to raise his family as well.  He not only works in Katy but also lives in Katy, where  he  is not just a part of the  medical community but the community as a whole.  Dr. Villarreal is double Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology.   He is the founder of Katy Pain Specialists and in 2017, he was named the Medical Director of Pain Medicine for Houston Methodist West Houston Hospital. 

Ericka was also raised in Katy and is a graduate of Cinco Ranch High School.  She received her Bachelor and Masters of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Galveston.  She also worked there in the Level 1 trauma center as a nurse post graduation.  She  was then promoted to independently manage care for patients of all ages and acuity levels at the Memorial Hermann  ER.  She returned to school to receive her Masters as a Nurse Practitioner which allows her to independently manage and treat acute and chronic care of patients.  With her advanced clinical training, she is authorized to diagnose illnesses, treat conditions, and provide evidence-based health education to our patients.  She loves being back home and working in her community.

Meet Dr. Villarreal

Meet Ericka

Dr. Villarreal was raised in Katy, Texas, and is a graduate of Katy High School.  He also graduated from the University of Houston, where he received a football scholarship and was given the Honorable Mention All-American Award.  After attending The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston where he received his M.D., he went on to Anesthesia Residency at the prestigious Tulane University.  During his residency, he developed a true  passion in caring for patients with difficult to treat pain.  After completing his Anesthesia residency,  he opted to obtain further formal training in Pain Medicine; completing his Pain Medicine Fellowship at LSU.
